Upper Castle Fishing Single Bank

Upper Castle Single Bank Beat runs just outside of Huntly. Access is past Huntly Golf Course entrance, and then past Huntly Castle ruins and car park by Elgin Bridge (Pedestrian only).
The Fishing
Upper Castle Single Bank Beat is approximately three quarters of a mile long and fished from the left hand side only.
This is a 2 rods beat and is quite wild so care should be taken. There are seven named pools on the beat and fish well with fly with enough water.
Fishing is by fly and spinning only. Worming is not permitted.
Lower Castle Fishing starts a few hundred yards below the bottom of this beat and can be booked together with Upper Castle Single for larger fishing parties or for greater choice of water.
